The Masped Group

Mother company of the Group, MASPED First Hungarian General Transportation Company Limited by Shares established in 1948 has been the primary transportation company of Hungary and one of the leaders in the Central-Europe region.
After the privatization of the company started in 1993 and completed in 1994, 98% of the company’s shares are held by individuals including 91% owned by the employees and management of the company.

The MASPED GROUP comprises subsidiaries established by MASPED ZRt. as well as companies that have been formed with outsourcing into an independent company of each transportation function formerly operated within the framework of MASPED ZRt. Members of the Group also include existing companies with significant market share in which MASPED ZRt. subsequently purchased share quota.
MASPED ZRt is, through its subsidiaries, in ownership relation with the German Schenker AG, one of the largest transportation companies in Europe, as well as the Austrian Shier, Otten & Co.
The MASPED GROUP offers its transportation-related services in the 17 largest cities across Hungary.

Apart from railway, air, public road and sea-river container carriage, our company group also offers logistic and customs services, warehousing, cargo insurance, insurance consultation, wagon leasing facility and deals with the transportation of international exhibition and sales goods and heavy machine movement. In addition, our partners can take advantage of our financial and operative leasing, in particular vehicle leasing, as well as other financial services provided to our cargo partners. Masped Group has extended its business activity to the field of tourism.

Masped Group has 58 members, its equite share equals to HUF 22.4 billion while the revenue is HUF 57.4 billion.
